Nashville, TN —This week the Nashville Social Enterprise Alliance announced the four finalists for their 3rd annual Business for Good Competition. The finalists are Everly, REBOOT Combat Recovery, TribEndurance and Fathom. These social enterprises will present their profit-plus-purpose venture at the Business for Good Showcase to an audience of community members and successful entrepreneurs.

The Showcase will take place on Saturday, April 30 from 2 – 4 pm at Stratford STEM Magnet High School. The afternoon will also feature talks from social impact leaders and performances by Southern Word, a spoken word group.

The four finalists will present their ventures to the community, with one winner being awarded the $10,000 cash prize. Additionally, all finalists have the opportunity to participate in LaunchTN’s 36|86, an annual conference celebrating entrepreneurship and southeastern culture.

“We are thrilled that the 2016 finalists are such strong representations of the potential of social enterprise,” says Hannah Pechan, Director of the Nashville Social Enterprise Alliance.  “Each of these companies is a leader in this growing movement, and is using the power of the dollar to empower others. We are fortunate to have these trailblazers in our community, and hope that Business for Good will help them in their mission.”

The Business for Good competition is hosted by the Nashville chapter of the Social Enterprise Alliance, an organization dedicated to providing resources and opportunities to social entrepreneurs and innovators. This exciting event is sponsored by LaunchTN, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce Business Studio, Lipscomb University’s Center for Entrepreneurship, the Center for Entrepreneurship at Belmont University and LBMC.

The Nashville Social Enterprise Alliance serves as a key catalyst in the rapidly growing world of social enterprise by providing resources and opportunities to our members: a network of nonprofits, social businesses, and educators who champion financially sustainable social innovation.
